From memory there are only two wires to connect, +ve and -ve.
I worked out which two were these on the multi plugs around the back of the dials and scotchlocked onto them. I also removed the lamps in the instrument cluster so as not to overload the wiring loom.
Nice one , Ill check out a diagram or two before I attempt And of course the lamps wont be needed anymore so Ill remove them aswell , Thanks
from memory i recall they are the two leads on the far left of the far left plug (looking at the gauge from the front,) and i think they are green and green with black trace, double check on the plug with a test light and i'm assumeing the 3lt wiring is the same colors as the 2.4,
As you sit in the driver's seat, the left hand multi plug connector that goes into the dial pod is where they're at. The extreme left is -ve and the next one in +ve. They're white and black (-ve) and green with a recurring white spot (+ve) as I recall. I joined on to these with scotchlocks and Bob's your Father's brother.
I was checking some of these out on ebay recently thinking they looked pretty good. Looking at the pics they are indeed mint. Toyed with getting some, but figured I'd best get the other bits sorted first!
They do look smart and a whole world brighter than our standard dials, I prefered the numbers that weren't italic but the company that makes them changed them to italic !
