    Wheel spacers

                Hello.

I'm having phone issues ATM, misses washed it and the mic dosn't work!! and don't have a landline due to house building.

I am still getting stuff, but only as I need it.

Something odd is happing to the TJM stuff, OEC (the official importers) have removed all mention of TJM from their website and I havn't been about to get hold of anyone to ask about it yet.

Steering spacers no problem to make, but usually make them to fit, as you have to 'fettle' them to miss the steering, so might be difficult via post , wheel spacers will come from Roughtrax so you might as well get them.

Don't get excited about the snorkel price on website, its years old and for a 2nd Gen, they shaft you for owning a 3rd Gen, lol but is very nice once fitted.

Thanks for reply. I had noticed something odd with TJM tonight as ive been unable to find their site.

Very interested in a snorkel. Providing you can get hold of one, Whats one cost?

With the steering spacer, How do people do a 2 inch lift and not have problems with the spacer and exhaust manifold problem. You mention fettle them but im not quite sure what you mean.

Interested in getting the lift spacer asap as its the only thing holding me back from a body lift at the mo.

                  Thanks

The Verb Fettle- Trim or clean the rough edges of a metal casting, or of a piece of pottery prior to firing.

More simply, attack a piece of metal with a file, hacksaw, anglegrinder, pliers, crowbar, hammer, bare hands or pretty much anything thats to hand, that will make it fit where you want.

So is that answer then, fit the spacer then attack it with various instruments to hand untill it to turns freely?

Sort of, fettling is a more professional a way of carefully making it fit and work without destroying anything....

Overlanding with a body lift....not sure you will need one. New +2inch springs and dampers is about right. I've just ordered a snorkel from Spain. Very cheap. I will report back about the quality.

About half way through kitting out my surf for overlanding.....less is more, but, jeez it's not cheap getting stuff.
                          .... Which was nice.
