I heard, somewhere, that a shot of 2 stroke oil works for diesels?
Having the luxury of a company fuel card I always use Ultimate or V power. Purely from a personal observation, on long journeys, I swear my revs are lower @90mph on V power than Ultimate and lower still on std diesel. But I'm no scientist and of course I never do 90!Nil illegitimi carborundum

I put £20 of v power in the surf when it was very low, light had been on for a few miles, and on my truck that's about 5 litres left; and it made no difference at all.
I've used redex when I've changed the fuel filter, ie filling the filter with it and then running the engine hard for a mile or so, that made more difference to be honest.

As has been said, the engine / ECU needs to know what fuel is in it for it to make a difference.
All I can think of with V power is different (higher) octane rating? If so then the ECU would need to alter the fuel pump timing to inject sooner than with regular Diesel as it would take longer to burn. Since we have no engine management like this I cannot see how it would make a difference.
BUT, if you want to manually advance your fuel pump timing a degree or two and run solely V power Diesel, I'd be happy to hear of your results
p.s. I'm not sure how a V power Diesel fuel differs to regular Diesel. I'm only guessing.Oh Nana, what's my name?
