I plan to keep it pretty muddy, but maybe you're right. I am leaning more towards the matt black, but not totally decided.

That pic surprised me a lot, considering both setups I actually prefer the truck on the left rather than the matt black one, normally I like the offroad look.

Fast cars are rubbish on the road these days. The GT-Four was just too stressful to own. Everywhere you go you find yourself stuck behind someone, so overtake just to be stuck behind someone and repeat. It was also not very nice to drive at low speeds - too stiff and 'pointy', back breaking over speed humps / potholes etc. The Surf is much more in tune with modern roads.

Having said that, if I could afford to keep something like that as a weekend hillclimb or SS plaything, I would do.

True about the state of the roads for fast cars , we have speed bumps all over the estate where we live in tewkesbury
and they are just a tad wider than the surf track width so no need to slow down....
yet they are high enough to make even normal cars slow down because the tarmac either side has subsided due to the
busses going over them in the summer when the tarmac is soft and made them higher than the council planned....
As for pot holes, i saw a council tipper the other day and no joke he had tubs like this in the back

                      ###### tarmac in a tub....what ever next.....

Now you know that ain't going to last long and your evo wheels will hate potholes...

Buy lucifer for £5k and sell it to him for £6k then get some bigger wheels for yours....

mine was a pure track day car so never really used it on the roads

                                I think I have reached a decision

I shall be keeping the surf, I actually gave myself a headache trying to decide but in the end I decided that is miss the surf too much.

So the surf will be treated to a good service, some paintwork , new tyres and a new screen.
