di mine yesterday front rear diffoils, tran box oil, auto fluid, engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, airfilter, new antifreeze, toped up washer bottle, greased all hinges, and made up new extended diff breathers etcetc took no more than 4hrs and a few quid well worth it for piece of mind

The speedo's keep breaking, changed mine twice in 8 months.
The window's move so slowly, especially the tailgate.
Rusty rear bumpers.
All the hastle opening up the tailgate, spare wheel etc.
Bad fuel consumption.

Clean the window tracks and then give them a dose of silicone spray !

Yep silicon spray does work wonders.

Erm, no one has mentioned the "H" word yet. Surely that's got to be the BIGGEST fault on these cars, as it seems it's affecting all marks to some degree or another?

1) I have no cruise control
2) There is no cup holder in the rear
3) There is no lighter socket for powering "dust buster" in the rear
4) There is no heated front windscreen
5) There is no heated seats.

Pros about our trucks:
1) There is a second heater in the rear which helps heat the cab up considerably.

I did my rear diff oil a couple of Saturday mornings ago.. Got myself into a right state trying to pour the consistency of honey down a makeshift paper (A4 paper) funnel into a hole smaller than a pen lid.

I should have kept the oil in the house the night before. OR as Dixie told me, warmed it up with a bucket of warm water.. Didnt think at the time though

The biggest problem is no, or bad, maintenance. All the faults people complain about (bar the old head problem) are due to poor maintenance or badly conceived modifications.

Design issues are another matter:
Stupid handbrake
Useless clock
Misplaced cup holder
Dodgy electrical wiring at the doors and tailgate
Gearbox cooler
Overly complicated electronics

It's not a Ford. Unless they licence it out nowadays, only Fords have that.

Weak ARB clamps on the rear axle.
ATF cooler in the radiator.
The handbrake position. (2nd gen)
Rear seat release knobs. (2nd gen)
The vacuum part of the ADD.

All of the above.

That's the BEST thing about it.

Yeah, fecking annoying.

For me although I love the rear tailgate, when they work, it's a handy place to sit when at events, it's a workbench... it's the fact the water gets inside so easily and fecks up the regulator and heated screen wires.

My five will be, in no particular order...

1 Water ingress in rear tailgate
2 ATF cooler in rad
3 No centre diff
4 The dash is cheap and nasty
5 15mpg... (3.0 33s) although someone else might get better miles from it.
