i have a hunch why the romans treated serbia like they did
same reason they got on with south england and not the north
Danube to the north or Sava to the South? There were Romans in Sremska Mitrovica.
Rivers are a bit messy to walk down, they tend to have flood plains either side.

the whole of serbia was full of romans
Sremska Mitrovica the way its on the river
has got to be a roman made place to start with i would say me self
iam not clued up on serbian history but who ever the locals were back then
would have stud no chance against the romans
the roman way of life was strange 140 odd gods
any people they over took they also took on there gods

anyhow Sremska Mitrovica was defo a caster at one time
caster roman fort has in doncaster means fort on the river don
the lay out of Sremska Mitrovica defo surgests that its got roman origen they has surtain ways of laying streets down and so on

the roads in serbia are realy roman roads perfect in fact i got to see them for my self one day

if i was you i would set my detector up and do the whole garden first chances are that people have been living on the same ground for thousends of years
then go on a treck out eather start at that ridge or
step out the door and the first out of place flat part of ground or a large man made bank or any hills or ridges that just look out of place
i would check them out just for the sake of it

hide different metals and try you detector on then
each metal gives off a different buzz or squeel

i tend to leave mine on turned up to the max but only in areas that i should not find anything metal
if the ground is well lived on i turn it down
so i dont keep finding fag packets and bottle tops and silly ring pulls even tho no ones used a ring pull can in 20 years

and remember slobodan any stone like object that sets off your detector save it and show me before you chuck it away
            it could be a meteorite
