a few years ago i lost my lead to the fujifilm camara i got me one off ebay so these photos are now about 5 years old
remember a few days ago i was going on about the things i dug up out of the garden
well i have all ways wondered about this
it was set in a square dead leave about 4ft down
it had a hammed flat floor in the square too
i found a medical bottle that i could date to around 1750's or so
there was also the remains of an old hand bag and a pair of shoes (i still have them some were)
there was also traces of oak sat on the steel set around it that also left its mark in the clay
so what i want to ask is what do you think it was for has i have no idea
this is the hole it came from my mates dug it out for me
thats the metal bit realy heavey
i was not there when the lads came across it so i did not have chance to get pictures of it in place
it was held to geather with those
i can not date anything like that has i have not an idea of metal work
so what ya what do you think it is?
what i can tell you is
in those dates of the medical bottle doncaster road (50m away from the back of my house)
was a mud road back then and the earl of scarbough odered that the trees on both sides to be cut down because highway robbery was rife it was cut back 50 yards eather side
my garden sits on the back of what was eastwood house my garden was the butchers dumping ground
eastwood house was the home of the walker connon it was were it was invented louis walker and sarah walker used this ground to do all sorts on
but for what need would the above object be used for?
i have never seen anything like it
and asking this is much better than watching tv
