Right I've done the hard bit "wiring" now where the hell is the sender unit?

No. I think thats the coolant sensor for the EFI.

The sender for the temp gauge normally has one wire (yellow/green stripe) connected using a push on spade connector.

Yes you are, just look for the sender that looks like the one that came with the gauge, it'll have a yellow wire with a green stripe connected to it!

Ok, well it's all wired in & lighting up & giving me a volt reading so it shouldn't take long to finish off.

Why do we bother fitting an aux temp sender? I didn't know we could wire up an aux gauge to the same sender. Would have saved me a couple hours last sunday fitting the alloy housing, sender and mullering my hose. Then finding the temp sender seeps water, then driving to B&Q, getting some PTFE, driving home, removing temp sender, burning water spurted out over me, then refitting said sender and jobs a goodun.
