Petrol replacement or snake oil

On the web thingy a possible petrol replacement based on some clever hydrogen chemistry..

Cella Energy has a new fuel, which is basically hydrogen microcells suspended in some sort of liquid, which can be poured into a normal petrol car's fuel tank, and burned in a normal petrol engine. Should be costing (Well, US prices anyway) - 1.50 a gallon!

Not really. They were normally a mixture of compressed air and fuel. Kind of like setting fire to a deodorant can.

The electrolysis to produce hydrogen needs lots of electrical energy. The little jobbie they tout for us on a car is snake oil. You'd be better off just connecting your electrical power source to a motor.

Make your own hydrogen, just pour caustic soda into an aluminium saucepan, stick a lid on with a small hole in and light the resultant gas that escapes...... kabooom......
