nope, not noticed. The last one in Folkestone did tens of tousands of pounds worth of damage (to my house alone), had to spend a year out of my house while it was practically re-built. I still have trouble getting insurance now. Be interesting to know the total damage value for the town.

I do hope there not on the increase as its not nice

the damage they do is mad
but its down to what type of earth quake it is

they are caused by different things
sounds like you suffered a unlucky part of it

the last one we felt up here shook my house realy badly

its not far off the date that the magnetic shift may take place
earths magnetic force shifts ever few thousand years
so north will be soulth and so on
but the begining of it has just started and we have no idea what will happen
google it

its been thought that
the magnetics are now adrift makeing pockets of magnetic molten iron core spinning off in its own wirlpool

its this afect thats thought to have killed the birds or so its thought
by makeing them fly in the wrong direction for tousends of miles before the wirlpool sifts back around again the birds change direction
but no proof on this is on the net yet
or even if its proven at all

i cant see it myself but who knows fully?

It also looked at geological evidence of/the pattern of the earth's magnetic field changing and you're about spot on there George - although the fact that we are "due" a magnetic field change in geological terms means it might happen anytime in the next few thousand years.

Interestingly enough, there was a magnetic "hot spot" appearing over south America that they weren't quite sure what it was indicative of...
