For the sake of £5 I would rather not get soaked. each to there own, but for me it was worth it.

I thought they had 4 types of weather in Scotland?

            Vertical rain
            Horizontal rain
            Freezing rain
            and Fluffy rain (Snow)

It's sunny all the time up there, the rain is just a cover story to keep the English away

Where did I say a 13mm bolt? A 13mm spanner fits an 8mm bolt, said bolts are used to secure the battery straps.

                    lol

I never noticed that when I was on my bike road trip round Scotland. It only rained a little when I was at Ben Nevis. The rest of the time it was warm with blue sky and I have pictures to prove it

Inverness and north of there was my favorite as was the Geo park, stunning scenery.

the little japanese people put 12mm heads on m8 bolts so the 13 still wouldn't fit

maybe a 13mm spanners too heavy for their little fingers

In that case someone must have replaced them with UK spec bolts as it was definitely a 13mm spanner I used to remove them (and no it wasn't a slack fit!)
