I'm sitting in the warm and dry out of the rain drinking a cup of Coffie in sub-way looking through the window at the poor guy from halfrauds fitting my headlight bulb :-). I'm wondering how long it will take him to realise that you have to remove a fair bit in order to change the bulb ?

10 minutes on and he still has not figured it out, I hope he manages to change them as it's miserable out there and IDE rather not get cold and wet doing it myself

Impressed, less than an hour! And he didn't take anything off, but his small hands were mangled a bit!

Sadly not free but for £5 fitting charge, I can live with that :-). Better than getting frozen, wet and mangled hands!

you have paid your money and if he is having problems they have all the haynes manuals/computers to go and take a look at, the only bit thats cruel is you didnt give him any clues where to start, but fair play to him for trying for an hour.

Really easy on a 3rd gen anyway.

1. Take one 13mm spanner
2. Loosen 2 bolts holding battery clamps
3. Slide battery back
4. Remove rubber cover around bulb
5. Release bulb clamp
6. Remove old bulb
7. Fit new bulb
8. Refit bulb clamp
9. Refit rubber cover
10. Slide battery into place
11. Tighten up securing clamp


All in all about 10 minutes a side.

Seemples! (Unless you have hands the size of roast chickens!)

Yep there was a reason, I failed to mention the model of the car.

Similar but not as bad as the reason I have not mention another car I recently had a look at and was thinking of getting.

Sadly economy got its way and the surf is now just for fun, moving and pulling things.
