Ventillated discs keep them from overheating right?
Suppose the holes would give less surface area and reduce brake performace?

Yes, ventilated discs allow heat to dissipate more easily, drilled/grooved discs help to expel the gasses and heat that build up from the friction between discs and pads.
Drilled and/or grooved discs are normally used to save weight over using much heavier vented discs.

for better braking bigger discs an better brake pads are wat you need....drilled an grooved wont make you stop faster they jus get rid of the heat better in racing situations an the groove help deglaze the pads so you wont get brake fade as bad as standard equipment...and drilled discs tend to crack easily under heavy braking grooved seem to be far better...iv gone through countless pairs of drilled discs on my track car but find the grooved ones far better

as for ebc pads they are very good green stuff are better than standard pads alrite but yellow stuff pads are brilliant compared to anythin iv used in cars before

                Hi Dara,

What are the EBC green & yellow pads like under normal driving conditions, do you have to heat them up to get them working properly or are they fine without stamping on them?

                Cheers

                Ben

                  hey ben.

no you dont need to heat up the green or yellow stuff pads...the stoppin power they give wen cold is very good better on the yellow stuff but there a racin pad so dunno if they could be got for a surf but the green stuff is a road pad and its very good cold or warm.
the only ebc pads iv used that needed to be heated up to work rite was the red stuff
