  • Clear Lenses All Round

Because of the colour of the new Surf I thought it would suit clear light lenses all round. I fitted the rear lenses this morning having previously fitted clear front and side indicator lenses. Not everyones cup of tea I know but I like it!

The front lenses do look orange in the photo even thought they are fitted with chrome bulbs, the reason for that being those clever folks at Toyota moulded the indicator housing out of orange plastic and then sprayed them silver! Some of the silver paint has faded with age, hence the orange tint, I'll remove them and spray them silver once the weather improves (July maybe).

I also treated the truck to a stainless steel and silver spare wheel cover from the money I made selling some of my old 2nd gen bits and bobs.

I have a new electric aerial on order and I've just paid my subs, I'm now officially skint!

Snap! Mine had them when I got it though, not fitted through choice. I'm happy with them though:

Its not a bra, its a stone chip protector. Remarkably effective at saving your windscreen from chips and cracks.

Ooops sorry , no offence meant - anyway the " stone chip protector" looks OK with the darker colour,
Do they sell a matching suspender belt?

They sound quite nice too. Love the colour of your truck Jim. It looks very clean and fresh. I'd fit an intercooler to mine if it didn't make the Bonnet look like a Pajero, the last one of those I had damn near bankrupted me. I still have nightmares about it.
