Out of those two, special, but I agree the whole thing reads wrong.

Why don't you say "We request the pleasure of your company to help us celebrate and party in style on our special day"

I see what you mean but it isn't explicitly clear what you're inviting people to on those invitations IMHO.

Maybe change my suggestion to "wedding reception" then maybe?

I can't remember what our wedding invites were like (the fateful day was in September last year). The wife sorted them all and I just needed to turn up on the day. Sober. Ish.
