It's a toss up at the moment between a TIG welder or plasma cutter. I do more welding than cutting, plus I want to start fabricating alloy header tanks and air filter housings, so I'll probably get a TIG first.

TIG is a great method, I made a living for 7 years as a TIG production welder.

As always, buy the best you can afford you get what you pay for.
