I have some 2" ally tube and am thinking about making a defender stylee lamp mount.
The antenna - CB, not quite, though the radio will receive that band. The scanner I've got fitted works from 25MHz (just below CB) up to 1.3GHz (satcom type stuff) via VHF comms, UHF comms, PMR, phones, baby monitors, military comms etc etc etc.Cutting steps in the roof of the world

For FM broadcast band radio? If so, the sites I've bought stuff off do antennas for other than broadcast, and my home stuff I design and build myself.
To be honest, you're probably better off with something from a specialist car audio place, because anything for use outside of the FM broadcast band will be less than optimum.Cutting steps in the roof of the world

Yes for normal FM, though I do have a dab tuner to put in eventually.
The car hifi sites only seem to stock the autoleads type stuff that halfords sell. I was hoping to find something better. There's not much info on the web about car radio aerials - believe me I spent ages searching last year.
Cheers,
Rob.
