  • some help required please.

Ive just spent a rather depresing evening , searching t'internet in vain for some info. Again its about bl00dy ford engines. I have all the info for cam/crank timing (coloured links on the timing chains), but in the right hand cylinder head, is a balance shaft. I cannot find ANYWHERE the
"timing" procedure for this goddam shaft...anyone able to help please?
    Non intercooled nothing.

That would be a start wouldn't it.

There might be some markings on your shaft young man, but this is a serious thread.

Well, I have bored myself looking now. I know it spins at the same speed as the crankshaft....

Anyway, I would try a post here, these fellas seem to know what they're talking about and a search throws up quite a lot of 'balance shaft' hits, so they're obviously used to them.

Unfortunately...no. It's all moot anyway...goddam gearbox won't unlock, so can't spin the engine by hand. Looks like the flex plate is catching...hate limos
