auto box help

I need help or shooting ? . my old 2.4 td surf 1990 dosent have a kick down , should it have one . there are two cables to the throtle link one from the loud peddle , the other kooks like it goes to the box ? is it ajustable if so which way in or out

My 93 2.4 surf has kickdown but i dont know how it works

To be honest not quite sure how you adjust it but mine is adjusted just so that it has no slack in it.

The second cable is the kickdown cable though. I think that the Kickdown is actually electronically controlled in the box, the cable just activates it.

Does your ECT button do anything?.

I'll see if I can find anything in the manual.
