New user here, running a 1992 24-LTE 24 td Surf. I've recently run it on veg oil and the pump seals went. I've repaired the pump and replaced all the seals but I was wondering about the pump itself - Does it develop too much internal pressure when running on veg oil? When I stripped the pump there was only a little wee outlet port in the top for the excess fuel, which I imagine could allow the pump to develop some considerable pressure inside its own casing, endangering the seals and allowing the sort of horrific leaks I was experiencing a few weeks ago. Is there any mileage in boring out the pump outlet or fitting a better pressure relief valve there? Thanks in advance
