Wow, am I the only one here who thinks this fella has had a bit of a bumpy ride? He did acknowledge that his first post came across a bit like a Snake Oil salesman from a Spaghetti Western.

    Everybody deserves a chance.

What I mean is...and with this hangover it's hard to explain...if i see a blatantly idiotic post,I can't resist the urge to but in. If I can't actually see it, I can't comment...except you can see it if it's quoted in someone elses post...which sort of defeats the idea of an ignore function...can't the admin fix that?
      Non intercooled nothing.

I agree, Ross, but am still 90% sure that it's a sales pitch. The challenges, the gradually-changing story, the attack on 'haters' combined with compliments for the believers, the invitation to Google and the constant highlighting of the many features and benefits are all classic signs of a forum pitch.

However, there is a possibility that Sandro is completely genuine and we're all being tremendously unfair. I hope he will just take the view that he has mentioned this wonder box and that no-one seems interested, and he will then move on to be an everyday part of the forum. The easiest thing for everyone is to forget that the Tunit, Bobbox or anything else was ever mentioned. As you were.

Ross the guy doesn't even own a surf. It's a sales pitch through and through.

                He want's customers nothing more.

Maybe I'm too trusting . Note to self, must become more Cynical!

Maybe Albannach could give me a few tips? In the nicest possible way, he has Cynicism, Satire and Sarcasm down to a fine art .

Tunit = mega expensive for a box of resistors but will give you more power as long as you have the airflow to match the fueling.
And it WILL... WILL... WILL drink more fuel when doing so!!! Diesels make more power by throwing in more fuel. You cant have economy AND power at the same time.

Ohhh woe is me - how did I miss this thread!

By the way, 'Powerchips' in Surrey aren't 'Powerchip' by W@nk Besanko' by the way. The chaps in Surrey appear to be a real tuning firm with a fair reputation.

                              Not 'junk' per se.

What it is is an expensive way to overfuel your truck. Thats all. ALL piggyback devices just modify the inputs to the ECU. Nearly half a grand for that is, well, taking the Michael.

If you wish to use it, thats great, and I'm glad you feel it was money well spent. However, there are people on here who's expertise is electronic design, automotive technology, programming etc, so you will receive a serious grilling - not to say a bit of a caning - as we've seen much snake oil come and go over the years.
