That was a treated road, so wouldn't (shouldn't) be frozen.

Grit is only effective above -14c, so there are situations where a treated road would have that effect. But their problem was stupidity, sitting there revving your engine will get you nowhere, but on YouTube.

But you're right, the only problems on that road are the idiot drivers on the other carriageway and the idiot, Gordon Donald, filming them (unless he's in a LHD vehicle, in which case I apologise).

Yeah I noticed that the person filming it (whilst travelling in adverse conditions) was sat in the right hand front seat, with (what looked like) a vehicle with blue flashing lights in the middle lane in front of it.
