I always thought the BM's were AWD.
Maybe the front you can't see is spinning. (with his low profile summer tyres on)

yeah, its AWD, but on shite road performance tyres, a frigging fiesta on normal M+S tyres would have had no trouble there.

more unprepared people, who will be bitching about it being everyones fault but theirs..

HAHAHA..... I wonder how many of those drivers are anti 4x4 environmental supporters .... who now wish they had a proper 4x4.....

Immagine what they'd have been like if it had snowed properly.
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

That BMW didn't appear to be spinning it's front wheels, I wonder what it's computer was thinking.

That really looked stupid, there must have been some underlylaying ice or something, I had been going through deeper snow when I got caught out a work in the mondeo.

No, not at all. But there is next to no snow on that road.

That was a treated road, so wouldn't (shouldn't) be frozen.

Grit is only effective above -14c, so there are situations where a treated road would have that effect. But their problem was stupidity, sitting there revving your engine will get you nowhere, but on YouTube.

I know. Which is also why I know there's no ice on that road

But you're right, the only problems on that road are the idiot drivers on the other carriageway and the idiot, Gordon Donald, filming them (unless he's in a LHD vehicle, in which case I apologise).

Yeah I noticed that the person filming it (whilst travelling in adverse conditions) was sat in the right hand front seat, with (what looked like) a vehicle with blue flashing lights in the middle lane in front of it.

                            Yes, but in their defence....

The passenger could have been steering.
