Nice to see you with a Gun in your hand Ian. I run a small shoot as you know and thats what I get up to every 4 days topping the feeders up, I must say they are eating a lot in this cold weather, I feed them dry scrap rice from where I work so it does not cost me anything...bonus.

Last time i went up the birds were young, nice to see em running about, like little "raptors" in the old jurassic film there are quite a few adults around there now, i still wouldn't want to kill any, there a real nice looking bird up close, well the male's are, simon did bring some phasant meat round but the missis "nuked" it, i rather nip round the butchers for stake myself,
my son and his mate do this part time and share the feeding between them, they also do some "beating" (i taught him all he knows) when theres a shoot on, and they get to go shooting there fro free, a couple of times he's got peppered with shot when some chinless c##t's fired too low, luckly the shot was spent,
the shotgun is i believe an Italian make, lovely piece of engineering, bl00dy expensive, i was quite pleased with myself for hitting anything, those clays just explode, hit 3 winged a couple, not too bad for a first timer (or an old timer) he has the top barrel on a tight pattern and the lower wider,
wouldn't mind getting my own gun but it might be too tempting to blow a hole in the scumbag next door,
handy getting your feed free! these guys buy it in and get through loads, we mix it with some hight protien feed, simes reccons its like a drug to the birds, they cant get enough, (should have eaten some myself)
cheers Dave, have a good christmas
