  • Steering feels loose

    Hi people

I was having trouble with steering wobble over 50 mph and managed to get the wheels balanced properly on the third attempt. But now when i get to 50 the steering almost feel loose. The car wanders slightly and i can feel every little bump in the road. I know there are possibly several causes, but which ones do i check first.

    cheers

    Mike

ok I'll be serious for moment... I don't really know what's the most likely reason but a few ideas spring to mind, not in any order...

Are the front tyre pressures the same on each side?
        suspension bushes
        idler arm
        steering stabliser
        wheel alignment

What tyre pressures are you running? Most people seem to favour around 30-32 psi. Are they the original Japanese tyres? If so they could be the problem as the original fitments don't seem to travel well - might have stood for a long time and warped
