I tugged a few Wagons yesterday for a few hundred yards up a small incline up on to the flat yesterday leading to the Hemel Motorway slip road, they used ratchet straps round the Tractors driving wheels to assist...(Make n mend) with 1/4 mile of traffic going nowhere until then n no
All congratulated me on a grand job n some shook me hand in appreciation before some setting of on a 150 -250 mile journey home .... Warm feeling

Thats as maybe, but I put it to you it is more important to be able to come to a stop - and choose what you crash into with working steering, rather than slide into whatever Sir Isacc Newton decides you're going to slide intoCutting steps in the roof of the world

As long as the front wheels can roll free and are pointed in the direction of travel they will be able to steer. Lock them and anything can happen. I've driven 60 miles on snow today with the surf in rear wheel drive and it's been ok. Had the rear step out twice so I reckon if they'd had snow chains on it would have been good.
(reason I'm driving 2wd is I sold my wheels to Lawsy and put the set off my 3.0 on. When I say set I mean 31's on the front and 265/70's on the rear. Enough difference to get the axles to wind up and lock it into 4wd. Seems to make the steering pull erratically too which is weird.)
Hopefully someone will answer my wanted add for tyres soon.
Rob.
