Heavy snow

This is the heaviest I'v seen in 10 odd years, Surf could not make it up 20m very steep drive but got up 30% about (1km) hill in area i live in,
Unlike the landrover defender behind me who lost traction and kerbed it at the steepest point.
Its a no no for cars

its is about 8 inchs of powdery stuff but lying on an inch of compacted snow/ice, that's the prob, and it is slippery... tyres BF goodrich AT's

Snow is coming down in big flakes at the moment.

All we have here is rock hard ice, no new snow. Aberdeen is getting a lot though.

At 2 40 this afternoon we had a blizzard, worst i've seen in the south east for a long time!
Luckily it only lasted 10 minutes, but it still deposited over an inch of snow and was almost a complete whiteout for a while!

All we have here is rock hard ice, no new snow. Aberdeen is getting a lot though.

Not as bad as a few weeks back but still rather grim, for anyone thinking about heading into Aberdeen City, don't bother!!

Sick of the sight of snow already, we still had it in March this year.

Snow not a prob.....we have black ice all over the road...I've seen 3 crashes happen in front of me!
Ice is ice and driving the surf gave me some bum clenching moments...

Started here about 3pm has only just stopped, roads round town are black ice police everywhere directing traffic around crashes.

Took it steady in 4wd very well behaved.

Some pics as it was comming down from about an hour ago.
More of the kids in our street who couldn't believe it almost never get snow in Llandudno.

took the misses work this morning down the bottom of the valley .perfect all the way,on the way back up,went past about ten cars and one disco stuck on the hill,felt great got looks at me like i was a right flash git in my 18 year old truck
will put to some good use tomorrow and go shopping for an old couple in the street
maybe take the niece to give birth(4days over)in the trusty surf
i'm lovin it!

Went to Leicester and back today and the Fawkus had no trouble on the ice on the M40 - it's just a pity that the other wassocks didn't do the same ...
