LPG & diesel

I seem to remember in the past some threads about LPG fumigation for diesel engines, and how its not possible to actually RUN a diesel engine on LPG.

Our commercial EMC wing have a company in at the moment who are EMC testing a full system which allows running of diesel engines on 10% diesel / 90% LPG. Just been talking at length to one of their engineers over a cup of tea. Apparently, Mercedes are interested, as is a certain large German truck engine builder.

Interesting, yes.

Previously it was used as a 'boost' for diesels, hoping that the extra power would in turn lighten your right foot, thus leading to fuel savings.
