That's up to you to think like that, but now we aren't getting it, let's just see if the "shed loads of money" gets spent on jobs, schools and healthcare! I THINK NOT!!

I do agree that we DIDN'T spend a fortune on bungs!

    Cheers, Nick

It's only a game - a bunch of blokes kicking a pigs bladder around a field. What is all the excitement about?
I couldn't give a flying fcuck about anything football related.
I'm glad that I don't subscribe to Sky. I really don't want to help fund overpaid bladder kickers wages more than I probably do already.

Personally, I'm delighted they didn't get it. They sprung David Beckham out of the lobbying box and gathering together every fibre of his intellect, he came out with that insightful statement, "Look, the future King of England is here". Is he not also going to be the King of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland? Clown!

It would have amounted to 6 weeks of English Football Yobs rampaging around the place, causing trouble, getting a good kicking from all and sundry, and generally bringing the whole country into disrepute.

The Olympics are costing money because we are building stadiums, transport infrastructure, Olympic village etc.

For the world cup we wouldn't have had to build anything.

Not entirely true, did you not read about the football grounds that were going to be rebuild for the event.

Probably the reason we didn't get the gig. The rest of the world have seen how long and what a f**k-up we make of our building projects.

Sorry, I was under the impression we had good enough stadia.
Your probably right, by the time 2018 comes around, a few will need redoing.

if your sad enough to have a world that rotates round football then you should get out more and get a life, as already said its only a game played by highly paid egoists who are useless for anything else worthwhile.
