  • First 4x4 response tomorrow

Wish me luck, it's my first call out tomorrow to take staff to an old peoples home, we've got 18" of snow and more forecast for tonight (woo!). I've got to leave at 5.30am body is not accustomed to such early starts
Just in time the truck passed its MOT last week, and so far has been faultless in the snow, it's been handy taking family to work and picking them up again, even found a guy in the middle of a roundabout with a dislocated kneecap tonight, that was a bit surreal.

I did my first call out Tuesday evening and i was out for about 5 hours taking home carers around to different places. If you think you are going to be out for a while then make sure you got a flask with hot drink cause you'll need it

As Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response we get 40p/mile fuel payment. I would assume that most Response groups would be similar, especially if part of the National 4x4 Response.
