Noticed it yesterday morning, and again this morning. South Eastern sky, about 10 degrees off the horizon at 05:30ish. Is it a planet, or a star?

There is a commet up there at the moment as well, but it's supposed to be quite spead out, so although bright the area is large so dont think this is what you saw.
If you have a phone that runs the Android OS, download google sky map. Then simply point your phone at the object for it to tell you what star or planet it is.
It doesn't work with hot air balloons or planes.
Solar and Lunac eclipses in the next few months as well. If you are up that early, you should see a nice solar eclipse in january. The 4th I think.
Jupiter and neptune are close to the moon in the night sky at the moment (or were last week anyway!)
Oh Nana, what's my name?
