I'm assuming GG stands for General Grabber - I've got them on the back, you'll be pleased to know they are very good in real mud! As soon as the front ones wear out I'll get the same for them too.

I have to admit to being a bit excited for the snow as well. I got my Surf just as the last of the snow melted at the end of last winter. My two friends with Discoveries were out of action for the duration too, one with head problems and one transmission problems! So we're proper looking forward to having a play in the snow this year!

    Cheers

Good time to teach them how to drive then. That way we can go back to not being stopped by a little bit of snow.

            Swings and roundabouts..

My Wife's company has the contract for gritting and snow clearance for thousands of locations not covered by local councils, including every Tesco site in the UK. Bring on the snow!

Though it does bring many sleepless nights - taking calls and recovering broken machinery.

Thats a fair point, Duane, but you cant teach novice learners because its just too dangerous. also many pupils cancel because they just dont want to risk it. I did take some of my more experienced pupils out, though, and they learned a lot. Got a lot of driving tests cancelled by the DSA as well.....Cheers....Mick.

when it snows up on the farm it gets quite deep, so i tell work i cant make it. then spend the day driving accross the fields of snow!

of course they know that i have a surf, but the country lanes dont get gritted this far out so i pull the ''icey hill'' out of the bag and ''elf 'n safety''.

hopefully will get some good pics this year.

I also get affected by the snow as its tough to do car body repairs and wheel refreshments while its actually snowing. On the up side I get quite busy after the snow with people ringing to say they've had a little bump in the snow lol.

i had only been out of hospital four weeks when the snow came last year suffering with multiple breaks to my legs and pelvis, and the thought of snow is now making me very nervous, not the driving side i love driving in snow but it's getting from the house to the truck thats a problem and i've looked at every 4x4 site there is and i cannot find any one who does decent tyres for my crutches.... looks like i'm missing out this year!!!!!
I'M ALWAYS IN THE SH'T, IT'S ONLY THE DEPTH THAT VARIES!!!!!!!!

I was three quarters joking there, I honestly wouldn't expect you to take a complete novice out on the road (maybe a skid pad or similar sized area with noting to hit).

It was just a little embarrising when the lorries rolling in at work were all forigners who were laughing at the problems we were having with the small amount of snow, we had.

After the snow earlier this year HR sent out an adverse weather policy...
Basicly if you try to get to work and don't make it its your line managers desicion to either give you work at home (not possible) or take it as annual holiday or take unpaid leave... how the feck does he know how bad the weather is at my house he can't even make it to work himself......
Arse covering HR puffnstuffs, where were you when it snowed last time , oh thats right you stayed at home....

Apparently i have no excuse as i own a 4x4, and was the only one in for 2 days last time, even the boss who lives in town 3 miles from the office didn't make it for "health and saftey" reasons...

Was good fun for me as i got to play on the way to work, i got to play once at work (mini scalextric, surf the web, drink coffee) and i got to play on the way home from work and i still got paid....
                              Remember arrows are silent.....................
Don't forget to tell everyone its indestructable as seen on top gear.......

I charge £30 per wheel normally but any member of this forum gets them done for £25 per wheel unless very heavily corroded.
That's to do them any colour
