  • A Popye Heater Control Module

    Hello Popye & everybody else,

Popye, you asked me to post a pic of this once it was installed.
Well, I've got lot's of other stuff to do before I can do the final install but, I have mocked it up for the sake of pics.
Looks the dog's doo dahs to me!
Thank you again for a great job!
    Regards
    Tony

    Pic 1 taken in daylight.

Thanks Tony, your welcome, just glad your happy with it,
that head unit looks more interesting than mine, i have an old "econon" one, plain blue with yellow text, and those dials look nice,
Too young to die and too old to give a toss

            Hi,
Not too shabby huh? I'm chuffed with it!

The white 'plasma glow' dial set I bought off eBay a while back.
Just did a quick search & I found this:

            http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-HILUX-SURF-PLASMA-GLOW-WHITE-DIALS-/250712963724?pt=UK_CarsParts_V ehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3 a5fa83a8c

These sets are a bit pricey & not what I paid, but a deeper search should bring up some cheaper choices.

As for my rebuild...long & slow! At the back end now though to be fair. Just a case of refitting the entire guts of Suzi. There's a humungous number of bits & bobs!
No wonder these babies weigh so much!

Once she is finished, I intend to start building something a bit special for her.
Top Secret so please don't ask!

            How's tricks with you anyway?

              Hi Popye,
Credit where it's due & all that...
Now...I have to think about what to do next. Got bits of Suzi lying all over the place in 2 sheds, both specially bought for her use only! My poor long suffering wife just keeps shaking her head now. "She doesn't understand me."
The head unit btw is an Xtrons.
              Regards
              Tony

                            Cheers. Kev

Yup! the inclineometer has it's own lighting, just connect to the dash lights same as the heater, (means drilling some oles on the dash tho these tilt meters, not easy with the screen in the way, ideal if you can get hold of an angled drill or a flexy drill thingy
