    Well said that man !

I keep an eye on the Fawkus mpg cos I do over 25k a year in it but the Surf only does around 3 or 4k (Mostly short runs) so it just ain't worth checking

Life is too important to take seriously !

im not overly fussed about it really, i didnt buy the truck for its economy, i bought it for it tough as nails reliability and capability.

i check the MPG every so often so i can see if there is a problem arising anywhere.

the cost of fuel is what bugs me, i dont pay a fortune in fuel because the surf drinks it, i pay a fortune because the government wants to milk me as a motorist.

I'm not fixated either, only done the above so i get a rough idea of how it should be after just purchasing..

kind of good that the odometer is in km instead of miles as it feels liek you get more between fill ups

like you say tho, fill up, drive it, fill up again when 1/4 full

the daily tells me on its display what it does..

I'm getting about 22 mpg out of my 3 gen. I get up to 80mpg out of my other car if I drive it like a nun :-)

I only check the mpg on the surf every so often to check if there is a problem, fuel leak etc.

When going out either I equate if it's worth the extra cost to take the surf. Is do I need it. I would prefer to drive it all day every day but as I average over 600 miles a week I just can't warrant the fuel bill.
If it can be broken it can be fixed

Here's andy's top tip for finding out if you have a fuel leak.

Park the truck overnight, look under it in the morning. If there's fuel on the ground, you have a leak, if there's no fuel on the ground, you don't have a leak. It's foolproof.
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

                Still too complicated for some.
