  • New bits arrived.

Got the new No.1 exhaust section and new studs, nuts and gaskets for MOT that is now due, also bought new tracking arms complete, old ones were solid with truck standing so long and also a bit worn.

So, on Friday after brakes have been pressure bled it will pass it's MOT and I'll be back on the road.

Before fitting the rod ends, fit some heat shrink sleeving. Then once the traking is sorted, shrink the sleeve over the threads with a hair dryer (Yoshie should have one) so that they'll be easier to adjust next time.

Apply a smear of grease before shrinking the sleeveing on.

I use it on every bolt on every truck I work on, its great stuff. Other garages who work on trucks after me owe me lots!

I do use copperslip myself for assembling parts, I'll stick some on under the heatshrink.

You'd think the 3rd gen jokes would be like water off a ducks back by now.

                      Apparently not.

                      Well done Bushy
