  • Uprated Shocks & Springs

I'm looking to sharpen up my handling on road a bit, things are a bit sloppy. The truck is in good nick, no rust etc (other than now changed rear heater pipes) and I wil be keeping it for a long time so makes sense to start replacing a few bits as its now done 168,000 Km, most bit are still original. Just had inner steering rods fitted and replaced front ARB bushes with super pros.

Most of my driving is on road and I do no towing so I'm not looking for lifts etc just stuff to tighten things up a bit.

    I'm looking at fitting these

    and these

    front & rear

I'm wondering if the uprated springs so uprated that they are likely to make the truck bounce & skip when cornering if not carrying additional weight?

Also is there any real benefit to changing out suspension bushes for super pros and if so which ones should I tackle first?

    Thanks in advance

    Ben

Don't know what the Monroe shocks are like, but there are others around the same price if you want a choice - loads of post on here. If you could afford it go for OME but they are expensive! Uprated springs should not make the truck skip and bounce. Not sure about poly bushes on a Surf, but whenever I have fitted them to my cars, they definitely make a difference.

    Cheers, Nick

Stiffer springs wont make the truck bouncy if the dampers are properly matched to them.

Yes, replacement bushes will tighten it up also.
