if the glowplugsare from Milners then for some reason quite a few people had problems with them last winter as they weren't lasting very long at all.Whether it was a bad batch i don't know but my old 3.0 i pit new g/plugs in after 4 years and it looked like the original ones that were in it.Chillit has the glowplugs now in the head i sold him and the g/plugs came from r/trax

check the fuse, dashlight will still come on but no power going to energy bar for glowplugs, check connection at bar as well.

Just a thought, try priming the fuel filter and pump before cold starting, you might have a dodgy primer.

Do the checks I suggested before parting with cash for new plugs.

My plugs are probably original and still work spot on, but recently the fuse blew, easy fix, plugs are heating fine now.

On the top of the fuel filter located on passenger side of bulkhead.

Give it a few pumps until it goes firm, try starting.
If the truck starts easier then the plunger is allowing air back into fuel lines and making it more difficult for the pump to get the right fuel pressure to start truck, easy fix.

Fairly sure that mine are still original, nothing in service history to say they've been changed, 96 truck with 165km on it. Only time it has let me down was the real cold spell we had last year when it was below -13 for a week. May get them changed over next few weeks or so and going to change the batteries too, these also are originals.

If you want to know for sure if they work or not, just whip them out and connect accross the battery. They will,or should glow bright red,if they don't they are knackered! My old citrôen van used to eat glowplus for some reason, and I would find them with chunks missing off the bottom.
I'd have thought,if your glowplugs were u/s when she did eventually fire you would have an enormous smelly cloud of white/grey diesel smoke!

                          Regards
