        Ah thats the idler/tensioner pulley. Some can be just unbolted, some will need chopping off depends what type yours is.

        No harm leaving it in place though.

          Ditto. My ac belt was flappin about so I just chopped it off!! Haven't had no probs. Been thinking of taking mine out too..... Its just useless metal in there now cos I will never use it. If anyone does it and wanyts to post the process they used that would be great!! I,ve seen some interesting mods that use that space.
