Corroded Pipes, rear heater?

Just had my truck up getting new suspension bushes done.

There are some pipes running under the drivers side of the car from the engine bay to I think the rear heater, these are badly corroded. Two pipes running side by side that emerge from the engine bay as rubber then go to metal and then back to rubber. Are these heater pipes and are they easily changed? If so, is there anywhere other than Toyota I could source them? My local dealer in Aberdeen will not even discuss my "Grey Import"

Is there any reason I could not replace the whole lot with rubber hose to save them corroding again?

On the MGF the replacements are usually done in stainless. Anyone done this on a Surf?

Run them back to the engine bay and remove and block off.

Save you misting coolant from those old pipes and blowing the head.
Who needs a rear heater; not the driver

I reckon these rear heater pipes have caused a few guys to lose coolant and damage heads in the past. I am almost certain that's how my brothers was caused.
We couldn't see any leak untill the pipes were under pressure and even then it was difficult.

O.K, what is the best way of doing this? Just cut one of the rubber hoses with a bit of spare length where it exits in the engine bay, remove the other hose and loop the cut bit onto the point where the second hose attaches?

Would I be able to simply replace the whole pipe with rubber hose and if so would it have to be pressure hose

Will I need to bleed / burp cooling system? Have searched for this but cannot find a full set of instructions, a brief run through of how to do this would be much appreciated

I have it booked in to get the heater pipes changed but have been told they may fail at any time so want to do something about it before garage appointment next Friday.

8mm bolts, no bleed required, just top up if needed.
