Not sure when the rules changed Ric but we was told this week your only allowed the 2 shunts to make sure you can get through the cones and into the load bay.Had to look in n/s mirror at least 5 times for the cone manouvre then at least 5 times again in the n/s mirror for the load bay manouvre.I'll see if i can find out when the rules changed

I had to park the lorry front between 2 cones but keep it tight to the left in order to be able to put on full lock and reverse between 2 cones without going out side the lines. If you don't park right to start with you are buggared and thats what happened to me.What made it worse is that i forgot i was allowed to shunt the lorry back and forth twice to allow to line up right in order to do the manouver properly
sorry to hear that you failed Rich better luck next time.
When did they change thr rules about shunting? when I did my LGV ( back when gods dog was a pup) you could shunt as many times as you like.

i was lucky enough to have the army train me so we had ample time to do it, near the end of the training i was racing my instructor at it, bets being a brew and bacon sandwich, i was always a few seconds out.

you will be fine next time. do you have another date booked in?
