  • On The Road....

I am off this weekend on a road trip!

Taking the wife and kids down to see my family.....

    North London ........to.............Plymout h!

If anyone spots a Burgundy L reg Driving along the M25, M3, Or A303 then give a honk!

Also spending some time in my old Cornish Stomping Grounds....want to show my kids where I grew up.....Small Village....NOTHING to do!

This will be the longest run the surf has done to date.....keeping my fingers crossed!

    Good luck with Stonehenge !

When you're on the A303 hit the horn as you approach the A343 to Salisbury

Life is too important to take seriously !

Seriously? I know motorways aren't exactly entertaining in a Surf, but surely you want to go M4, M5 to Plymouth? Especially from North London?

Well stone the crows. AA route planner reckons it takes all of 4 mins longer to go M4, M5 than M3, A303. I'm absolutely amazed. Guess I have just been stuck for hours on that sodding carpark (A303) too many times.

And it shouldn't be too bad at the back end of October I suppose.

        Ignore my previous!

i went to knebworth and back in my surf loaded up with supplies for sonisphere (heavy metal festival) and she did great.

          you should have no problems!

this comment is by no means a guarantee that you will get there without any engine problems.

I think you passed me on the A303 just after Andover, do you have a white/light coloured rear wheel cover ?

I drive a dark blue N reg ssrx and just pootle along at 55-60 as I do the journey from Leatherhead to Yeovil every Friday, the other way every Monday morning at 0400 it does get a little boring.

Stonehenge was pretty much clear for a change today. Hope you made it to Devon ok.

That was me! Its chrome and grey on the spare wheel!

Got here finally after overheating just before the a30. Luckily
It was just an air lock in the system. Boy did i get it in the ear
From the wife. Why did i swap a decent saab for the truck
As soon as the aa man cleared it all up and clean bill of health she stopped
              Moaning.

Was Plymouth still there then mate? I've been driving back to the west country for twenty years, best route i know of as long as its clear is the motorway! Took me 8 1/2 hrs on the coast road last time i went down.

Truck over heated ,arrived at holiday destination near Padstow on the back of a Mitsubishi flat bed truck. Got it fixed ,new thermostat
