I'm not worried, just hadnt budgeted for such an increase on my current - i was expecting 150-200 tops

it'll be dearer to insure 1 hilux as a second car, than it is to insure my 3 current ones put together..

sureterm direct or noel dazely i'm 39 full NCD one accident and three points and i got TPFT on a 92 2.4 for a grand total of £220 which does include protected NCD and legal cover and it also covers for whatever is being towed aswell through sureterm direct

just joined up

my names Steve and I've been into vee dubs for years and now fancy a huge change, so selling up and looking for a 4x4, narrowed my search to 75% surf and 25% pajero, so thought i'd join up here, see wht to look for and hopefully get some pointers and sway me to 100% surf

so i might have some questions, but any advice on what to look /lookout for would be great

Hi Steve. Welcome. If you're looking for a Surf, take your time and hold out for a good one. Same with insurance. Be patient and shop around.Good luck. I was into Vdubs many years ago, and as well as having loads of the usual 1200s and 1300s, I also had a 59 a 60 and a 67. The best ones, though were the 54 oval the 67 notchback and the two mk1 GP buggies. Biggest mistake was a 1303 lol!....Cheers....Mick.

I've had far too many dubs - last count was pushing 40 in about 10 years, so time to stop..

got a new shape passat as the dailyso will still have a foot in the door..

swmbo and I are both getting really really excited about getting a surf now - I think my budget will have to drop a little so will probably be a gen 2 with the 2.4- hope they arent all bad.. still if it sees winter out I'd be happy or out with the spanners..
