  • Errrr. Where's the wheel changing kit...?

    Hi,

It's just occurred to me I might be missing all the essential bits to allow me to change the wheel on my truck in the event of a flat. Seems daft to ask where the jack, brace and lowering arm for the wheel is - but where the heck should they be found?!

My spare tyre is under the boot, and there's an eye which must be the 'ole that lowers it down inside the back door.

But like where should all the gear be?!! It can't be under the floor of the boot carpet as this is more or less screwed down. And the small cubby hole in the boot is empty. Don't remember seeing anything under the bonnet.......

    Under the back seats?!!

    Missing?!!

    Help!

Not sure about 3rd Gens but on the 2nd Gen it's under the rear seat.

I think the poles for winding down the rear wheel is under the rear seat, dont know about the jack though although it wont reach most surfs anyway
My brakes dont work, so i made the horn louder.

I'd imagine a Surf's jack will be able to jack up a Surf?

Yeh but this is some kinda unusual narrow bodied 2nd/3rd gen cross-over hybrid freak thing.

As has been pointed out - KZN185 but with some KZN130 stuff going on.

Gonna look under the back seats..........

good point, small trolley jacks are useless just presumed it would be a little scissor jack like one of them you get with a saxo and the likes, I dont have a jack with mine though i use my old Hgv jack, is the original a bottle jack? and where is it usually kept?
My brakes dont work, so i made the horn louder.

Then can I draw your attention to the third from last line in your original post?

OK - all under the offside rear seat. Bottle jack, lowering arm for the wheel, brace and jack handle. New and completely unused by the look of it......

                            Sorry for wasting everyone's time.....
