facebook haters

Thank goodness for thsi thread. I thought I was the only one who disliked Facebook and had a life. Who wants to find a friend that has moved on with their life twenty years ago and with whom you no longer have any common interest any more?
I prefer to talk, email or use Skype to contact someone and I don't need Facebook for this. Notice I left off "text" as why should I text when I can speak to them?
However I do have a concern as Skype and Facebook are now teaming up.

This is a typical british metality that gets on my goat so much, its why the ramblers want to close the countryside to drivers/cyclists/horseriders, and riders vs drivers, etc.... the list could go on and on.

Ok I detest facebook ...is that better ?

But the worst thing is Character assassination ! My at risk meeting and its outcome was shared by the office gossips and made it home before I had chance to tell my wife !!! Not good

That sucks, but its not facebook, its the people, they'll find a way to gossip if they are going to.

Its a bit like Georges reply, to be brutal, its his life and the people around him, he'd still be in the same $hit from cornershop gossips as facebook gossips, I don't have any (or, not many, but its easy to ignore them,) toxic people on my friends list, just mates and family buggering around having fun and sharing any random thoughts going.

Been good to keep in touch with the mundane ins-and-outs of my old chums back in me old home town. Got a few good freebies and hook-ups out of it - it's just a tool, stupid ####s will always be stupid ####s whether there was fb or not.

As for the "Tom is wondering what to have for tea LOL" information-nudists, put them on ignore.

Just remember if your boss is on there as a friend, don't slag off work...
