  • Falken tyres- any cop?

    How do folks,

We need some new boots ('95 3.0) and they'll be road biased, probs never go offroad (intentionally...). Are these T110 Land Airs any good, does anyone use them?

Surprising price differences. Event Tyres worked out cheapest so far. Except for Camskill but local fitting would wipe out the difference.

Or has anyone got another tyre make/model to throw in the pot? Seem to be lots at very similar ££s,

    cheers.

Had them on our Mini Cooper, they didn't last five minutes! Plenty of grip though.

They were low profile tyres with hardly any tread on to begin with..

I had Falken tyres on another car. They seemed pretty good, with loads of grip. If you're looking for road-biased Surf tyres, try BFG Long Trails. I had those and they were great.

Originally had Falken 31X10.5X15 C/T on the Surf and they were a great tyre. Now got Goodyear Wrangler, which are absolute [B]CRAP[B].

Just fitted General Grabber 31 x 10.5 15 on mine very pleased ,hardly any road noise at all compared to the old KL71 MT, and also a very good price and service from Roughtrax.

                  Thanks all, usefull stuff.
Actually we got the Long Trails on now, but have been sliding about and wheelspinning in the slightest damp. To be fair they are probs old and hardened, were on the truck when it came over from Japan.
Main thing choosing boots is for wet roads, the missus hasn't really sussed being smooth in the wet... flippin leadfoot.

By way of an update/freedback, we got Falken T110s fitted and have put some miles on.
Brill so far, they seem quieter, the ride is smoother and handling/steering great. Even speedbumpos seem less harsh. Not sure if the prev tyres were just old/hard/shagged or what but these have transformed the truck

Localish 4x4 tyre place matched the best interhighweb price we could find too.
                    Cheers for the help folks.
