It's mainly an Ego trip! people like to laugh at people that don't know what they're talking about or make a mistake - but take the rough with the smooth you'll also get really good advice and help when you need it (mostly)

I got some really good advice before i made a thread post. that's the main reason I'm on here to learn about my motor. Yeah i was well chuffed with my roof rack, Supported a recent Long board I made all the way to Cornwall so it must be the dogs dangly stuff !

Got a wife and two kids, a mortgage and not much work at the moment. Although I'll get by One way or another But to keep a motor going that has been let go for a few years i need all the help i can get.

I'm a self employed Carpenter Joiner, with hardly any mechanical knowledge So expect the odd silly question

Use the search button first then ask if you still don't know the answer, You might get some silly answers but a lot of the guys on here really know their stuff - it's a great forum with a sense of humour and a lot of the guys will go out of their way to help you if they can.

Nothing funny in someone not knowing. Someone not bothering to read the reply and pushing "ye but my truck bla bla bla" is wide open to have the #### taken. If they don't like it, then all the better, Mr west uk has demonstrated by his reply, that he has very, very thin skin, brilliant!

Razo may have won racing championships - but then, every tuning company in japan does because they all have their own series.

So, to the 3.0TD Surf. So here we have a 2 tonne truck with the aerodynamic properties of a brick, fitted with an engine designed sometime back when people still thought the earth was flat, powered by fuel which has similar specific impulse to what my hamster sh1ts out.

What do you think Razo need to do to turn that into an Impreza beating monster?

Look, I make TRD stickers. People stick them on their trucks. Doesn't make them any faster. Razo probably didn't either but they sure do an attractive sticker. Diesel isn't a fuel for going fast, particularly when used in an engine built by Edward the Great. Just enjoy it for what it is. A great big laid back cruising blue-whale of a car. Look at the view, chill a little, and look down on the angry boy racers in their GT4's... or whatever...

Its NEVER gonna be a racing car, and if you want it to be, you're kind of missing the point.

Pity you're not closer. We need some doors hanging, and I feckin hate doing that!

In summary:

1. Razo make styling products and have also made turbo timers. The sticker probably means nothing. If there is a turbo timer on the engine, it probably refers to that.

2. Turning the overdrive off removes the top gear from the auto gearbox

3. Turning the ECT on makes the box change up at higher revs to improve acceleration and reduce efficiency.

4. Surfs are slow

5. Apache needs a door hanging

6. Everyone wants to know more about this 210bhp surf.
