Advice on Lucifer

I do that lots, its a good idea, but,remember chock the wheels if its on a slope, Surf handbrakes don't inspire confidence!..

Once i get the bigger unit then Lucifer will be kept undercover out the way.The handbrake will be left off and in neutral with the wheels chocked as you say

I am in the proccess of giving the interior of Lucifer a makeover.
What i want to know is that i won't be using the 4wd on it(its not connected anyway) so would it be ok the just cut the hi/lo selector just above the gearbox so i can fit the rubber gator properly to cut out some of the noise and cold air blowing up through.
Also it should be ok to take the front diff out completely and the front drive shafts have them cut off just before the hub so that the bearings etc are still sealed
Lucifer won't be used out in the icy/snowy weather as i am using it to hire out so i need to keep it in tip top condition.

Hi Rich why not fit a set of these they are even the right colour or near as damit.

Hiya Bob and hows things with you and the family.
Lucifer has free wheeling hubs already but i was just worried about the angles of the shafts more than anything else.The cv's i think it is that creak a bit when cornering but if they do go then i will take the shafts off completely and blank the back of the hubs off

Hi Rich most of the family is OK thanks, my 89 year old mum is not to good at the moment hope she picks up we are off to Florida on the 19th October for 3 weeks. I have SOLD most of my trucks down to 4 now thats with my Cruiser and the wife,s 3rd Gen. Have been tempted to buy a couple more but l am not fit enough to do the work on them myself and looking after my mum take,s up alot of my time .
Glad to see you are getting back on your feet and have a goal to aim for good luck with your new venture.
