Do you need any other mods after fitting 2"+ rear springs like extended shock absorbers, and will this lift the SURF up (lesson learned) , or is fitting spacers to the rear another option?

The reason I ask is that I really dont know what route to take and I cant afford a full all round 2" suspension raise at this point in time.

    Thanks Tony.

+2" rear Springs didn't actually give me an extra 2"s about 1.5"s was nearer - I didn't need bigger shocks or anything else

Anyone got some good lamps you can reccomend?

Thinking KC Daylighters, Cibies etc... deffo 100W+
Personally I wouldn't risk putting any in front of the rad. The benefit of having a couple of extra spotlights probably isn't worth the risk of disturbing the airflow. Admittedly I've got a 2.4 and I'm paranoid about over heating...

If you want a couple of angel eye spotlights I've got a couple I was intending to put on at some point but have never got around to doing you could have (for a price - they were £55 new and are unused). PM me if you're interested.

It's a Pronoun, its meaning changes dependant on context.

Yep, a Sassenach would, chefly, be an Englishman (some will argue lowland Scots too) It's derived from the Gaelic for Saxon.

when i spoke to roughtrax they said they can supply shocks with the built in extra 2" or it would still be ok with the standard ones in.

BTW when other members here have fitted the extra 2" springs from roughtrax did they notice a marked difference in the way the surf sits as the longer one should be fitted on the driveres side to compensate for the fuel tank and drivers weight, now im 99% sure i fitted them the right way but she still sometimes sits a few cms lower on the drivers side. if they were fitted correctly would the surf actually sit slightly higher on the passengers side till the tank was full and the driver sat in.

Just the RT+2" springs don't require any other mods. But will only return the truck to where you "think" it ought to be.
There should be at least 2.5-3" of additional travel in the standard shock.
I wanted the truck lifted and balanced so had the 2" polyurethene coil spacers fitted. Now I'm pretty much at the top of the shocks, and the front TB's are wound up to nearly their max.
I'll need ideally plus 4" shocks and panhard rod mod to finish it off, but waiting for funds to mount up again!

                        Any more poll takers?

Anymore views on the spots? Starting to get used to it without any now!
