and so's Yoshie, stick 6" skyjacker kit on that, some 35s and lockers on a Surf and I'd still rather have the surf and probably outwheel the Heep just about anywhere as well. As well as drive home afterwards instead on the back of an AA van..

Following Wez's example, decided to have a go at sorting the front A bar today.
After a quick trip to B&Q, got some angle iron for strength and Alu chequer plate angle to go over the top. Took off the plastic coated cross member and replaced. Will be getting a couple of nice new shiny spots soon as well.

Thoughts on this please?
Thinking of 2 sets of spots, 8" and 6" or 7" and 5" or similar - think the 2 sizes would work well. Any thoughts other than blocking the rad?
Anyone got some good lamps you can reccomend?

I'd go for the two spots low down but only for the looks, I'm not convinced by the spots effecting the cooling any more (although I was) since fitting the temp gauge, I did the same trip three times (Hastings to Tunbridge Wells), once with 5" spots on, once with none (waiting for the new ones to turn up) then with the 6" Baja's on, there was no difference what so ever.
Don't get me wrong, the theory is sound, your putting two blocks in front of the rad it should stop some of the air flow, but for me my findings were that it had no effect, that said my truck doesn't seem to run as hot as some anyway, certainly not at the 90 degree mark anyway, I even replaced the gauge thinking it was faulty and not showing the correct temp.Neal
