Ha! Would ya believe it. Gumtree recommended by this forum one night and my car sold on it the next! That's a 'good omen' as my Granny used to say.

Don't buy the first you see, have a good look about and if you put a thread in the surfs wanted section then you will get some offers to buy members trucks as a few have had in the past.As they say money talks and with cash in the pocket you will get a good deal as i did with mine.

Good advice Stormforce, thanks. Should have the money in my grubby little hands by the weekend so will post in 'Wanted' as you said. Is there a pic anywhere on here of your wheels. Trying to see what decent lookin Intercooled 3rd Gens look like as much as i can. Seen a nice Green one on ebay at the weekend but it was pulled early.

Was that the one with the big 'Surf' graphics on the side? It was around £2k when I saw it. Wonder if he was getting a bit worried that he wouldn't get the money he wanted so pulled it.

If you look at the 'sold items' on eBay, not many 3rd gens pass £3.5k these days, though that doesn't stop some sellers being a bit out there in dream land!

Just 2 points about that surf, 1 the steering wheel is not leather & 2, it's not "RARE".

Rare to me means there's only a handful in the country.

              Rant over.
If its not broke don't fix it.

perhaps if you cut it open it'll still be pink and juicy on the inside?

I'm just down the road from you mate and I'm no expert but I do all my own repairs and mods etc.

I have a georgeous 2nd Gen that I've had since 2003 and have basically done all sorts of replacing and tinkering!

If you want a hand with anything just holler!

Yeah thats the one. Looks nice apart from the decals. About £3.5k seems to be top book for them on eBay. You see them listed for MUCH more, but check the 'unsold' ones in the completed listings. Full of them.

Gary, thanks for the offer! Good to know that for the future. I was talking to a freind just tonight who picked up a 2nd Gen from the mainland last week. He seems well pleased with it. Ya don't see many of them on the roads over here.

I`d say so mate, I take my daughter horse riding at Lessans on the saintfield Rd. You`ll see pics of my Surf in my profile and Rigs section. It usally has a big red boat on the roof. My number plate says SUX.

                            Tony.
